American-born singer/songwriter, Jhelisa Anderson, launched her jazz career with the critically acclaimed solo album, Galactica Rush (Dorado Records 1994). Her music has been recorded by Chaka Khan and Incognito’s Maysa Leake. She has worked with Steve Williamson and supported James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Roy Ayers and Mavis Staples.

Stellar British pianist and composer, Robert Mitchell, has released seven albums and played with artists Greg Osby, Omar Puente, Steve Coleman, Norma Winstone, Matana Roberts, Jose James and Ty among others.

The blend of Jhelisa’s deep blues/soul/jazz vocals with Robert’s classical jazz piano is an unforgettable musical experience. Tonight they reunite to explore the powerful and timeless classics of Nina Simone alongside their own original compositions.
