Legendary pianist and composer of such jazz classics as ‘Bolivia’
and ‘Ugetsu’ who provided the harmonic springboard for the acclaimed
three horn line-up of Freddie Hubbard, Curtis Fuller and Wayne Shorter
in the 1963 edition of Art Blakey’ Jazz Messengers. Since the 1970s,
Cedar has toured the world with his own quartet, becoming an audience
favourite. Tonight he brings with him bassist David Williams, first-call
drummer Willie Jones III and saxophonist Piero Odorici.
